The ministry focuses on areas of interest that consist of implementing the following:
Mental Health Interventions:
Culturally and linguistically appropriate mental health-based interventions for Haitian migrants who have experienced and/or been exposed to violence and trauma and provide them with tools and skills to cope and overcome traumatic events that have been impacting their lives. We will use one on one counseling, workshops, and group interventions
Assessment and Referrals:
Through therapeutic
alliances, the ministry assesses and makes appropriate referrals in accordance with discoveries of risks and learning opportunities.
Workshops:
The ministry offers educational development programs through workshop, marriage, and family clinical therapy.
Parenting workshop:
We will establish a supportive environment by engaging and informing parents at all levels of the program activities.
